* According to the Foundation Act, which entered into force on 1 December 2015, all foundations must report related party transactions. According to the law, a foundation's related party is viewed quite broadly. Being related is not an obstacle to applying for a grant. A foundation must report if, for example, it has granted grants to people in the so-called narrow-related party circle. In addition, a person in the foundation's management is disqualified from participating in the grant process if the grant applicant is a member of their broadly defined related party circle. For these reasons, all grant applicants are asked about their relationship with the foundation's core personnel.
